We have received Information that Jacob Hayward a Subject of
this State is now on board the Flag Vessel lately from Virginia on
her Way to the Head of Elk and that the same Jacob Hayward has
levied War against this and the United States of America and has
adhered to the Enemies thereof these are therefore to authorize and
require you to apprehend the said Jacob Hayward immediately for
levying War against this and the United States of America and
adhering to the Enemies thereof and have him before this Board or
some one of the Judges of the general Court to be dealt with ac-
cording to Law and for your so doing this shall be your Warrant —
Given in Council this 26 Day of March 1782

Permission is hereby given to Capt Robert Berry to proceed with
the Schooner Polly a returned Flag from Virginia to Charles Town
South Carolina with American prisoners on board to the Head of
Elk unmolested, from thence to return with the said Vessel to this
Harbour. —

Wednesday 27 March 1782
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Lieut David
Luckett forty one pounds, seventeen shillings for Stores to the 1st
Instant thirty pounds, agreeable to a Resolution of this Board of the
22d July last and also thirty pounds of the Bills emitted under the
Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca in lieu of a Suit of Cloaths
& four shirts for the present Year on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt Perry Benson thirty seven
pounds, fifteen shillings and three pence for Stores to the I Inst. &
also thirty pounds of the same Emission in lieu of a Suit of Cloaths
and four Shirts for the present Year on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut David Luckett one pound
twelve shillings and six pence of the same Emission for the use of
Burdett Hamilton due him p Account passed. —
