We are favored with yours of the 7th Instt Commodore Grason
was sent to Miles River eight or ten Days ago, to have the Barges
there put in Order for a Cruize in the Bay, against the small Vessels
of the Enemy &ca We will write you by him, fully on the Subject
of your Letter.

Friday 22d March 1782.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to James B. Fullton
sixteen pounds, ten shillings — Zachariah Tilley sixteen pounds, thir-
teen shillings and four pence — Jeremiah T. Chase Esqr for the use of
Flora Dorsey, ten pounds, one shilling & three pence — John Martin
fourteen shillings and eleven pence — Zadock Harvey eleven pounds,
eight shillings — Richard Tarner senr & Richard Tarner junr each
eleven pounds, ten shillings — Joseph Harper & William Harper,
each, Lwclvc pounds, eight shillings and four pence — Charles Horner
eleven pounds, eight shillings and four pence — Joseph Beanes, nine
pounds, eight shillings and four pence — Joseph Higdon ten pounds,
eight shillings and four pence and Clement Green nine pounds,
eighteen shillings and four pence of the Bills emitted under the Act
for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca due them per Accounts
passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Zephaniah Turner Esqr one hun-
dred and twelve pounds, ten shillings of the same Emission on
Account of his Salary. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut Henry Gassaway twenty
five pounds deficiency of Clothing for the last Year and also the
further sum of thirty pounds of the same Emission in lieu of a Suit
of Cloaths and four Shirts for the present Year on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Nicholas Worthington Esquire one
hundred and fifty two pounds, four shillings and eleven pence specie
agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this State " per
Certificates adjusted and passed the 29 October 1781. —

Saturday 23d March 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Ignatius Payne,
ten pounds, ten shillings — Ignatius Adams seventeen pounds ten shil-
lings — Benjamin Popham nine pounds, eighteen shillings and four
pence and John Chalmers thirty two pounds of the Bills emitted
under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca due them per
Accounts passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to John Bear seventy seven pounds,
eighteen shillings and three pence of the same Emission to be deliv-
ered over to Lieut Henry Colman & his Detachment of Militia
