Whereas the Service of the Country in this Time of War, may
require that People be frequently trained in the Use of Arms, and
that in order thereto it will be requisite for them to meet at certain
Times and Places to Muster and Exercise; It is therefore humbly
prayed that it may be Enacted,
And be it enacted by the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary,
by and with the Advice and Consent of his Lordship's Governor,
and the Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly, and the Authority

of the same, That all Persons who shall attend at Places of Muster,
in order to be trained and instructed in Military Discipline, shall be
and they are hereby declared to be exempted and freed from all
Arrests in civil Cases, as well going to such Place of Muster, as at,
and coming from the same, for and during the Space and Term of
Twenty- four Hours, every such Time of Muster; Any Law, Stat-
ute, Usage or Custom to the contrary in any wise notwithstanding.
