tinental money and some that I borrowd of Colo Adams I have laid
out for the Officers. I am Sorry to inform you that I lost a Waggon
taken by the Enemy on the Retreat from Camden in which was
about half a barrel of Tea Twenty odd yds broad cloth about Sixty
yds Irish linnen and Brittanees with a good deal of Other damag'd
clothing and the Greatest part of my papers and Vouchers which
will embarrass me much in Settling my accounts. Capt. Gassaway
the bearer of this who is on Parole will give a list of the prisoners
and other particulars respecting our Troops.
