Monday 12th November 1781

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Captain Charles
Williamson eighteen pounds four Shillings and six pence of the Bills
emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca of the
money appropriated for the present Campaign for the use of his
Compy of Select Militia per Account passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Butler five hundred pounds of
the same Emission, of the money aforesaid to be delivered over to
David Poe & by him expended in procuring Forage for the Post of
Baltimore on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to James Brice Esquire, Seventy seven
pounds and also to Stephen West Esqr one hundred and sixty pounds
of the same Emission of the money appropriated for the Defence
of the State on Account.
William Haney and Hugh McLaughlin from Washington & John
Gordon from Harford Counties Substitutes and Michael Hammond
from Washington, Garey Lavington from Caroline and Samuel
Duvall from Prince Georges Counties, Draughts to serve until the
ioth of Decemr next being deemed unfit for the Service are hereby
Discharged therefrom

! We have yours of the 2gth Ulto and IIth Instant. The impressing
Vessels in which the Subjects of France have a Property, Is of so
delicate a Nature that we do not incline to give any opinion respecting
it, but shall lay your Letter before the General Assembly on their
Meeting, Your Accounts for the Impressments of Waggons &ca ought
to be laid before this Board before they can be paid. We have sent
by the Express 5Oo£ of the late Emission, which is to be passed as
Specie only, and laid out in the Purchase of Forage for your Post,
and this is the last Sum we shall advance, until your Accounts are
adjusted and your Expenditures shewn

* pound of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills
of Credit &ca of the money appropriated for the present Campaign
due her per Account passeed by the Depy Audr
That the said Treasurer pay to Stephen West Esqr three hundred
and twenty two pounds, eight shillings Specie agreeable to the Act
to adjust the Debts due from this State " per Account passed by the
Aud Genl the 3d Instant
That Capt Denny deliver to Captain Sears all the Axes in his Pos-
session belonging to the State.
