[Council to John Bullen, Esqr.]

There being a Necessity for procuring Forage for the public
Horses under your Care, if you cannot purchase it on reasonable
Terms, for the Money current, you are hereby authorized to procure
by seizure, Sufficient Quantities of Forage for the Support of the
Horses, having a strict Regard, not to distress the Families of the
Persons from whom you shall take it.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John Bullen Esqr
Two hundred and fifty pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for
the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca of the money appropriated for
the present Campaign on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Nicholas Thomas Esquire ludge
of the General Court two hundred and fifty pounds of the same
Emission of the money appropd for the Defence of the State on
Account.
