forbear to solicit the Release of this Boat, Captain Middleton and his
Crew, and we hope the Count De Grasse will favor the State with
the Return of the Boat, and take Measures for exchanging her Crew
for some of the British Seamen lately captured.

Wednesday 24th October 1781

Ordered that the Issuing Commissary deliver to Nathl Butler and
David Moore Waggoners in the public Service & on their way to
Massachusetts Bay, each two Days provisions.
That John Bullen Esqr Quarter Master deliver to Joseph McClin-
tock Waggon Master a Continental Horse, or if he has not a Conti-
nental a State Plorse to go to Baltimore Town.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Captain George
Hamilton of the 4th Regimt thirty pounds, nine Shillings of the Bills
emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca of the
money appropd for the present Campaign for Stores on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Bright Sullivan one pound six
shillings & three pence of the same Emission, of the money aforesd
for making Tents.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt. Robert
Denny ten pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emission
of Bills of Credit &ca of the money appropriated for the present Cam-
paign to be delivered over as follows five pounds to Aaron Winfrey
and five pounds to William King soldiers of the Maryland Line who
have lately returned from Captivity in Charles Town South Carolina
in a Distressed Situation on Account.
Edward Robertson Draught from Frederick County being recom-
mended by Doctr James Murray as a proper Object for a Discharge
is therefore hereby Discharged from the Duty for which he was
Draughted.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John Dorsey Esqr
fifty three pounds five shillings of the Bills emitted under the Act for
the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca of the money appropriated for
the Defence of the State to be delivered over to Dickison and Stodder
due them per Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Robert Denny two pounds,
ten shillings of the same Emission, of the money appropriated for
the present Campaign to be delivered over to John Chival of the
Maryland Line on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Welch fifteen pounds one
shillings and six pence of the same Emission, of the money aforesd
due him per Account passed by the Aud. Genl
