Wednesday 10th October 1781
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Lieutenant Roger
Nelson twelve pounds seventeen shillings of the Bills emitted under
the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca of the money appro-
priated for the present Campaign due him per Account passed by the
Aud. Gen'
That the said Treasurer pay to David Stewart thirty five pounds
of the same Emission of the money aforesaid to be delivered over
to Colo Edward Gaither on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Joseph Chapline one hundred
and fifty pounds of the same Emission of the money aforesaid for
the use of his Company of Select Militia on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Nicholas Thomas Esqr eight
pounds, eight shillings and ten pence of the same Emission, of the
money appropriated for the Defence of the State to be delivered over
as follows, five pounds one shilling and six pence to Elizabeth Aulden
and three pounds seven shillings and four pence to James Colston,
Henry Colston and Jeremiah Banning due them per Accts passed by
the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to John Sandsbury of the State Boat
plater six pounds of the same Emission, of the money aforesd on
Account.
Warrant issued, directed to John Merridith to impress one or both
the Kent Island Ferry Boats for the purpose of transporting the
public Horses collected in Queen Anns County hither.
Permission is hereby given to Richard Lloyd Esqr to bring from
New York the House-hold furniture and other goods mentioned in
a List hereto annexed. 8 beds with blankets Coverlets & Pillows.
8 Matresses. 1 Tent bedstead one Cott, i Night Stool, 3 Setts of bed
Curtains. 2 Small boxes containing Millenery belonging to Mrs Lloyd,
he having made Affidavit, that the same are his own Property and
that he will not dispose of them in the way of Trade or Merchandize.
By a Letter received this Day trom the Judges of the General
Court representing that the Sheriffs Jurymen and other persons
attending the General Court would be obliged to return Home, and
thereby break up the Court unless they could be accommodated for
the money of the last Emission which must enevitably obstruct the
