As more than ten Days have expired Since the last Sale of the Lots
on Whetstone Point, we apprehend a considerable sum of Hard
Money has been deposited in your Hands, and being much in Want
of it for the Officers and Soldiers, we request you would be so oblig-
ing as to have it sent to the Treasurer immediately. We should have
wrote to Colo Ramsay on this Subject, but are informed he is gone
to Philadelphia

Tuesday 9th October 1781

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Nathan Ham-
mond five pounds, eight shillings and four pence of the Bills emitted
under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca of the money
appropriated for the present Campaign due him per Account passed
by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Jacob Crist one hundred and forty
two pounds of the same Emission of the money aforesaid due him per
Account passed by the Aud. Genl and also sixteen pounds, eight
shillings and six pence to be delivered over to Capt. Charles Baltzel
in Lieu of an order of the 19th September 1780.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Nicholas Ruxton Moore four
hundred and sixty four pounds, seven shillings and six pence of the
same Emission of the money aforesaid for the use of his Troop of
light Horse due them for their Services when ordered to George
Town and Virginia per pay rolls examined and passed by the A. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Alexander Clagett Esqr sixty
pounds one shilling and four pence of the same Emission of the
money aforesaid to be delivered over to Henry Shryock per Account
passed by the Audr Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Nicholas Thomas Esqr one hundred
and twenty five pounds of the same Emission of the money appro-
priated for the Defence of the State on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Colo Blaine Seventy five pounds
Specie to be delivd over to James Calhoun Esqr to enable him to
purchase Flour Barrells &ca on Acct

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt Jordan of
Colo Lees Legion twenty four pounds specie part of the 4000£ appro-
priated for the Officers going to the Southward, nine pounds, part
thereof to be by him returned and the remaining fifteen pounds to
be delivered over to Major John Rudulph on Account.
