That the said Treasurer pay to Charles Greenbury Ridgely six
pounds fifteen shillings Specie agreeable to the Act to adjust the
Debts due from this State per Account passed by the Aud. Genl
Instant.
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Solomon Turner late a
Soldier in the 5th Regiment one Coat, one waistcoat, one shirt, one
pair of Shoes, one pair of Stockings and one Blanket due him for the
year 1780.

[Council to President of the Special Council.]

We are favored with your Letters of the 28th and 29th of Septem-
ber and are much obliged to you for your useful and friendly Com-
munications, which we request a Continuance of. We have just heard
that General Washington is still in want of Provisions, that he has
about 1 5000 Men in his Camp and that an Effort is to be immediately
[made] to land a Body of Troops in York River within a few Miles
of the Town. Every Thing conspires to animate us to every Exertion
for his Support that is possible, and we entirely agree with you in
opinion that no Circumstance should be omitted on this important
Occasion. We send you according to your Request, 1500£ on Ac-
count, and herewith several Letters to the Collectors of Horses,
which we request the Favor of you to forward; Horses are and will
be greatly wanted. We hear that Mr Paca is in Town, with whom we
promise ourselves a Conference on Affairs relative to the public
Welfare. Your Letter to Mr Carroll is forwarded by Express, and
when his Answer arrives it shall be sent immediately.

The Supply of Flour at this Place being very nearly exhausted,
we must request you will send as much as Mr Pitt's Boat will bring.

Wednesday 3d October 1781

On the Representation of John Muir who was Draughted in Dor-
chester County to serve till the 10th Day of December next, that he
is rendered unfit for Military Duty by a Wound in his Leg, the Cer-
tificate of Doctr James Murray who examined the wound and the
concuring Testimony of several Gentlemen of Dorchester County.
It appears to this Board that the said John Muir is unfit for the
service he is called on to perform and he is therefore hereby Dis-
Charged from the said Draught.
Passport and Safe Conduct granted to John Muir of Annapolis
agreeable to a Resolution of Congress of the 14th August last to
navigate the Vessel called the Swallow commanded by from the
Island of St Martins laden only, with a Cargo of Salt.
