Emission of Bills of Credit &ca of the money appropd for the Defence
of the State on Account.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John Kilty Esqr
Five pounds five shillings of the Bills emitted under the Act for the
Emission of Bills of Credit &ca of the money appropriated for the
present Campaign one pound ten shillings part thereof to be delivered
over to William Kilty Surgeon of the 5th Regiment and three pounds
fifteen shillings to John Kilty Lieut of the 3d Regiment Light
Dragoons for Stores on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Rosanna Matthews twenty shillings
of the same Emission of the money aforesaid due her per Acct passed
by A. Gl
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Purdy sixteen pounds
nineteen shillings and four pence of the same Emission of the money
aforesaid due him per Account passed by the And. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut John Carr, two pounds seven-
teen shillings and ten pence of the same Emission, of the money
aforesaid for Stores on Account.
That the Issuing Commissary deliver to William Kilty surn of the
5 Regiment four Gallons of Rum and sixteen pounds of sugar to the
1st of June and to Lieut John Kilty of the 3d Regimt L. Dragoons ten
gallons of Rum and forty pounds of sugar to the 1st Sepf on Account
Passport and safe Conduct granted to John Spear of Baltimore
agreeable to a Resolution of Congress of the 14th August last, to
navigate the Vessel called the Experiment Commanded by Matthew
Traverse from the Island of St Martins laden only with a Cargo
of Salt.

You are hereby authorized and directed to impress as many Vessels
as are necessary to transport Flour and Salt to Head Quarters in
Virginia and Waggons to transport the Public Salt to Baltimore
Town. Both Flour and Salt are much wanted by the Army and we
request you to lose no Time in forwarding every Barrel of Flour
you can procure; you will supply to Mr Calhoun to turn over all in his
Possession

By Letters received from His Excellency General Washington, we
are assured the Army in Virginia suffers for the want of Flour, we
have given Directions to Mr Hollingsworth to turn over all the State
Flour in his Possession to you which you will forward to the Army
in Virginia without Loss of Time. As it may be difficult to obtain
Vessels by Hire for the Purpose of Transportation, and to prevent
Delay we hereby authorize and empower you to impress as many
