That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Richard Anderson of the
4th Regiment nine pounds, nineteen shillings and six pence of the
same Emission of the money aforesaid for Stores on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to John D. Garey and Thomas Beatty
Junr appointed Ensigns in the Maryland Line each ten pounds of the
same Emission of the money aforesaid on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Doctr Henry Schnebely thirty eight
pounds two shillings and Seven pence of the same Emission of the
Money appropriated for the Defence of the State to be delivered
over to Henry Yost per Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. John Reed three hundred and
seventy five pounds of the same Emission of the money afd on Acct
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Christr Orendorfif six Gallons
of Rum and twenty four pounds of sugar and also to Capt. Richard
Anderson thirty five and an half gallons of Rum and ninety three
pounds of sugar to the 1 st Instant on Account.
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to John D. Garey and
Thomas Beatty Junr each, a suit of Cloaths & Linen for two shirts

General Washington writes in the most urgent Manner to hasten
to him without a Moments Delay all the Flour that can possibly be
procured, as his Army is in a Manner Starving for want of Bread.
Under such repeated and pressing Necessity we earnestly request you
to exert yourself and employ others and impress if necessary what-
ever Waggons Teams and Drivers you will want to send to George
Town all the Flour you can possibly procure, and without a Moment's
Loss of Time, We rely on your Zeal and Industry at this most im-
portant Juncture.

Messrs Jacob Shelman, Adam Boyer and Matthias Bochie having
offered to contract with the State to receive dry Hides at 8d pr Pound
and green Hides at 4d pr Pound with an Allowance of 6d for the
Carriage of each Hide from Annapolis and one Shilling for each
Hide from Fredericksburg and to deliver good substantial Shoes at
9/ a pair and any Sort of Leather at the Prices it sold for in Frederick
Town; we therefore request the Favor of you to take the Memo-
randums of their offers and fix the Agreement with them. The state
will constantly want shoes and we desire to extend the Quantity be-
yond the Value of the Hides, as far at least as one thousand Pair.
From your Representation a Quantity of Leather will be wanted to
finish the Saddles, you will therefore procure from those Tanners,
as much Saddle Leather as will answer that Purpose; but if you
