That the Issuing Commissary deliver to Lieut Edward Compton
twenty gallons of Rum and eighty eight pounds of sugar Stores to
the 1st Instant
That John Bullen deliver to Capt. David Lynn and Major Rox-
burgh, 3 Horses to be returned at George Town.
Commission issued to Samuel Prior appointed Major of the Gun
Powder Battalion of Militia in Baltimore County.
Henry Thomas a Draught from Kent County having made Oath,
that he has a Wife and two small Children, the eldest between 6 and
7 years of age and the youngest about two Months old, who depend
on his labour only, for support, is therefore Discharged from the
Duty for which he was draughted.
William Handy a Draught from Worcester County having pro-
duced to the Board a Letter from a Number of Gentlemen of Wor-
cester County setting forth that " Mr Handy has had the misfortune
to lose a wife who has lett him 4 small children, these are to be
supported by his Industry alone as he has not a Fortune to support
them and that some years ago Mr Handy received a bad wound in
one of his legs and from the Information of the Doctr who attended
him we are Satisfied he could not compleat one Days march " also a
Certificate from Doctr James Murray of this City that he has exam-
ined the wound which Mr Handy received in his Leg and is of opinion
that it renders him incapable of Military Duty, is therefore Dis-
charged from the Duty for which he was draughted.

It will be absolutely necessary to collect immediately, at George
Town a Quantity of Forage Sufficient for 3000 Horse and Oxen,
on their way to Virginia with Artillery and heavy Baggage. To
enable you to procure the Forage, we have sent you 45o£ which you
are to lay out as Specie
