of Cattle to Fredericksburgh for a Detachment from the main Army
now on their way to Virginia. The Speedy Conveyance of this Money
and Letter is of Importance to the public and we entreat your Atten-
tion to it.

Friday 31st August 1781
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John Welch ten
pounds five Shillings and three pence of the Bills emitted under the
Act tor the Emission of Bills of Credit not exceeding 200,0000£s &ca
of the money appropriated for the present Campaign per Account
passed by the Depy Audr
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut Robert Denny one thousand
pounds of the same Emission of the money aforesaid to be expended
in the payment of Bounties to Recruits and to be accounted for.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Thomas Purdy
five pounds, four shillings and six pence of the Bills emitted under
the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit not exceeding 200,000£s
due him per Account passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to George Bayfield six Pounds eleven
shillings and four pence of the same Emission of the money aforesaid
due himself and Philip Shepherd per Account passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Martin five pounds, ten
shillings of the same Emission of the money aforesaid p Acct passed
by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Woolfe one hundred pounds
of the same Emission of the money aforesaid to be delivered over to
Patrick Sim Smith Esquire Commissary of Calvert County on
Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Purdy eleven hundred
pounds of the same Emission, of the money aforesaid to be delivered
over as follows two hundred and fifty pounds to James Calhoun Esqr
Commissary of the western shore, one hundred pounds to Richard
Dallam Esqr Commissary of Harford County, one hundred pounds
to Benjamin Griffith Commissary of Baltimore County, one hundred
pounds to Barruch Williams Commissary of Cecil County, two hun-
dred and fifty pounds to Colo Henry Hollingsworth Commy for the
Eastern shore, two hundred pounds to Donaldson Yates Depy Quartr
Master General for the State and one hundred pounds to John Voor-
hees Commy of Kent County for the use of their respective Depart-
ments and to be by them Accounted for.
That the said Treasurer pay to Stephen Biddulph of the South
Carolina Troops late a Prisoner at Charles Town Three pounds of
