That the said Treasurer pay to Zachariah Duvall Twenty four
pounds five shillings of the same Emission of the money appropriated
as aforesaid to be delivered over to Mary Hesselius due her per Acct
passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut James Arthur of the 2nd Regt
Three pounds, five shillings of the same Emission of the money
appropriated as aforesaid per Account passed by the Aud. Genl to be
charged to the Continent.
Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt. Robert
Denny Five hundred pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for
the Emission of Bills of Credit not exceeding two hundred thousand
pounds &ca of the money appropriated for the present Campaign
to be applied to the enlisting the men engaged to serve until the 10th
of Decemr next or others for three years or during the War and also
five pounds of the like money to be delivered over to Samuel Tindell
a soldier of the Maryland Line returned from Captivity in South
Carolina in a Distressed situation on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. John Concoa one hundred
pounds of the same Emission of the money appropriated as aforesaid
to be delivered over to Colo Henry Hollingsworth and also Forty five
pounds of the like money to be delivered over to John Dockery
Thompson Lieut of Cecil County to be expended in the recruiting
service and to be by them accounted for.
William Watts appointed Surgeons Mate in the Maryland Line
the Rank and Arrangement to be settled hereafter.
Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay to the said William
Watts Ten pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emis-
sion of Bills of Credit not exceeding two hundred thousand pounds
&ca of the money appropriated for the present Campaign on Account.
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to the said William Watts
one suit of Cloaths and Linen for two shirts on Account.
Commissions issued to Baruch Williams appointed Lieut Colonel
and James Maxwell Major in the thirtieth Battalion of Militia in
Cecil County.
It being represented to this Board by Sarah Barney of Baltimore
County, that her son William Barney was draughted under the " Act
to raise two Battalions of Militia &ca " that he with what little she
can do is the only support of her and six small Children and that her
Husband and eldest son has been in the American Service for six
Years past and are enlisted to serve during the War, which is certified
to be true by Brigadier General Gist and several of the Principal
Inhabitants of Baltimore Town. It is therefore Ordered that he the
