priated as aforesaid to be delivered over to Patrick Coffin the Bounty
allowed him by the State for enlisting during the war.
That the said Treasurer pay to Colo Peter Adams forty five pounds
of the same Emission of the money appropriated as aforesaid to be
delivered over to John McCowliff and John Francis, each, twenty
two pounds ten shillings, the Bounty allowed them by the State for
enlisting three years and during the war.
That the said Treasurer pay to Robert Bowie Collector of Horses
for Prince Georges County Twenty pounds of the same Emission
of the money appropriated as aforesaid to be expended in the Col-
lection of the Horses and employing persons to take care of them &ca
to be accounted for.
That the said Treasurer pay to Frederick Green one hundred
pounds of the same Emission of the money appropriated for the
Defence of the State to be expended in the purchase of paper and
other Expences incurred in printing the Bills of Credit on Acct
That the said Treasurer pay to Nicholas Maccubbin Senr two
thousand seven hundred and eighteen pounds, twelve shillings and
ten pence Specie agreeable to the " Act to adjust the Debts due from
this State " per Account of Certificates settled by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Major Joseph Merriken Twenty
five pounds two shillings and eight pence Specie agreeable to the
aforesaid Act due himself and Detachment under his Command
p Acct passed by the Aud. Genl

Applications are made to this Board by Mr Boyd and Mr Lyles to
be appointed Surgeons Mates to the Vacancies in the Maryland Line,
but as we look on such Appointments to be of very great Consequence
to the Army, we are extremely desirous to have them examined and
we request this Favor of you, and that you will transmit your opinion
of the Qualifications of each sealed up that we may with more Pro-
priety make such Appointments

Ordered that the Commissary of Stores deliver to Capt. Jonathan
Sellman of the 1st Regiin' two and a quarter yds Russia Duck.
That the Issuing Commissary deliver to Capt. John Courts Jones
of the 4th Regimt and Major William Stoddert, each, twelve gallons
of Rum and forty eight pounds of Sugar due to the 1st Instant.
That the western shore Treasurer pay to George Adams, ten
pounds seven shillings and nine pence of the Bills emitted under the
Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit not exceeding two hundred
