money appropriated as aforesaid on Account and also the further
sum of Twenty two pounds, five shillings of the same Emission of
the money appropriated as aforesaid due him in part of an Account
passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. James Somervill Ten pounds
of the same Emission of the money appropriated for the Officers
going to the Southward
That the said Treasurer pay to Henry May four pounds, ten
shillings of the same Emission of the money appropriated for the
Defence of the State due him per Account passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Richard Dorsey of the Mary-
land Artillery Thirty pounds of the same Emission in lieu of Thirty
pounds Specie allowed the Officers of the Maryland Line by an Act
of the Genl Assembly.
That the said Treasurer pay to Alien Quynn Esqr one hundred
and ninety pounds, nine shillings and nine pence Specie agreeable to
the " Act to adjust the Debts due from this State " due him per
Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Thompson eighteen
pounds four shillings Specie agreeable to the above mentioned Act,
p Acct passed by the Aud. Gl

That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Joseph Ford Seventy six
pounds, eleven shillings and five pence Specie agreeable to the afore-
said Act due him in part of An Account passed by the Depy Audr.
That the said Treasurer pay to the said Joseph Ford four thousand
one hundred and seventy eight pounds of Tobacco due him per Acct
passed by the D. Aud.
That the Issuing Commissary deliver to Capt. William Reily, Ens.
Mark McPherson, Lieut. James Arthur each, four Gallons of Rum
and sixteen pounds of Sugar. Lieut3 Philip Hill & James Win-
chester, each, twelve gallons of Rum and forty eight pounds of
sugar and also to Capt. Benjamin Price eight Gallons of Rum and
thirty two pounds of sugar due to the 1st Instant.
That the Armour deliver to Stephen Steward thirty musket Balls
two quire Cartridge paper and twelve flints.

It was not in our Power to send the Money to the recruiting
Officers in the Time directed by the Law, as it expired before the
Money was Struck; if any recruits were procured before the Militia
were classed, the Bounty will be paid by this Board when the Number
is ascertained; we do not think ourselves authorised by the Law to
advance any Money to raise Recruits after the Militia are classed,
it is expressly against it. The Certificates given for Horses are to
