Capt. Reed will apply to you for twenty four Pair of Shoes for
his Company which we request you to furnish if in your Power
agreeable to our former Letter to you on this Subject.

Mr Steward has applied to us for three Tons of Iron to enable
him to finish the Galley he has now on Hand for the State. We should
be glad that Mr Steward could be furnished with that Quantity, as
it will be impossible for him to compleat this Vessel without it.

the Horses procured in your County, we beg Leave to refer you to

We wrote the 29th of June to Mr Martin the Attorney General to
require his Attendance at Frederick to prosecute a great Number of
Persons charged with high Treason on this Business and as it is of
great Importance and cannot be deferred, we request he may be
discharged on Furlough in order to repair to the Court at Frederick
Town without Delay.

Saturday 14th July 1781.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Stephen Steward,
six hundred pounds of the Bills emitted under the " Act for the Emis-
sion of Bills of Credit not exceeding two hundred thousand pounds
&ca to be expended in building the Galiey for the State on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to George Ranken forty five pounds,
four shillings of the same Emission, his Allowance on the Journal
of Accounts of last Session
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt John Reid one hundred and
fifty pounds of the same Emission for the use of himself and Com-
pany on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to John Singleton Ten pounds, two
shillings and six pence of the same Emission in lieu of an Order of
the 31st May 1781 in his favor for forty pounds, ten shillings
That the said Treasurer pay to John Longden one hundred and
ten pounds, five shillings of the same Emission due him for riding
Express per Acct passed by the Aud. Genl
