Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay to Colo Philip
Fidderman one hundred and seventy three pounds, six Shillings and
one penny Specie agreeable to the " Act to adjust the Debts due from
this State " due him per Account passed by the Aud. Gen' the 13th
Ultimo.
Commission of Letters of Marque and Reprisal issued to John
Martin Commander of the Brig Otho one hundred and thirty Tons
burthen Navigated by thirty five Men, Mounting Twelve Carriage
Guns, belonging to Samuel Smith, Wallace, Johnson and Muir of
Maryland.

We enclose you the Petition of Joseph Watters which has been
handed to this Board; as we are totally unacquainted with the Signers
to the Petition, think it proper to refer the Matter to you. If it should
appear to you that he is not fit for the Service, yon will then dis-
charge him.

Ordered That the Issuing Commissary deliver to Captain Nathaniel
McCleland one Gallon of Rum.
Commissions of Letters of Marque and Reprisal issued to Claude
Besse Commander of the schooner Good Adventure Twenty six Tons
burthen navigated by six men mounting five Swivel Guns. Joseph
Audet Commander of the Schooner Resource sixty six Tons burthen
navigated by sixty men, mounting fourteen Carriage Guns belonging
to John Dumest of Baltimore. Peter Milhaut Commander of the
Schooner Maria fifty one Tons burthen navigated by twelve men,
mounting five Carriage Guns, belonging to James Durand & Com-
pany of Fredericksburg in Virginia. James Handy Commander of
the Schooner Dragon ninety five Tons burthen, navigated by twenty
five men mounting six Carriage Guns belonging to Hugh Young and
Company of Baltimore and also John Thomas Boucher Commander
of the Brig Alexandria, navigated by Forty men, mounting twelve
Carriage Guns belonging to John McLure of Baltimore and Robert
T. Hooe & others of Alexandria.

[Council to Andrew Buchanan, Esqr.]
Representation has been made to us on Behalf of Patrick Crawley,
who was made a Prisoner of war some Time in June 1780 and re-
leased on Parole, the Terms of which are that he should get a British
Naval Prisoner exchanged for himself within six weeks or at the
End of that Time deliver himself up to the British Commissary of
Prisoners in New York, neither of which has been complied with,
