Saturday 28th April 1781

Ordered That the western Shore Treasurer pay to Daniel of Saint
Tomas Jenifer Esqr one thousand five hundred Dollars on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Joseph Brewer Eighty pounds
ten shillings and three pence due him per Account passed by the
Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Piper eight pounds nine-
teen shillings and three pence due him per Account passed by the
Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Jonathan Parker five pounds,
Seventeen Shillings and six pence due him per Account passed by
the Depy Aud.

Ordered the Issuing Commissary deliver to Stephen Steward six
Barrels of Beef and two Barrels of Flour to be returned.
That James Calhoun Esqr deliver to the said Stephen Steward
eight Barrels of Bread to be returned.
Whereas it appears to us by the Oath of James West of Ann
Arundel County that James Hutchings of Queen Anns County did
on or about the 25th Day of this Instant go on board one of the Vessels
of War belonging to the Enemy and that the said James Hutchings
did receive from the Commanding Officer of the said Vessel two
Negroes of his the said James who had left the service of the said
James and fled to the Enemy
And Whereas the said James Hutchings did go on board the
said Vessel without Permission from the Governor and Council in
Writing, Lieutenant Thomas Henry Howard is therefore ordered
to arrest the said James Hutchings and have him before this Board
immediately that he may be dealt with according and also to summon
John Rawlings of Queen Anns County to make his personal Appear-
ance before this Board immediately to testify against the said James
Hutchings.

By the Act for the Defence of the Bay a Company of Artillery
to consist of one Captain and one Captain Lieutenant and Sixty five
non-commissioned officers and Matrosses is directed to be immedi-
ately raised to serve within the State three Years unless sooner dis-
charged, the Company will be stationed for the present at Drum
Point at the Mouth of the River Patuxent, where a Fort of not less
than ten nine Pounders with one or two block Houses are to be
