Lead to rectify the Carriages for the Fort which ought to be strong
for the Service required of them, and to employ Men to make up
the Cartridges. We expect Mr Curson will deliver you a quantity of
Cloth and Linen, the one half of the Cloth you will have made up in
Baltimore, the other half with the Linen you will send to this place,
as this Business is of very great Importance we wish your utmost
Assiduity may be exerted in compleating it. We have wrote to
Col Dallam to apply to you for two kegs musquet Powder you will
deliver them on his Order.

Ordered that the Armourer deliver to Philip Thomas Esqr Lieut
of Frederick County one hundred rough Bayonets.
That the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt Gilbert Middleton
one hundred pounds on Account.
That Philip Thomas Esqr Lieut of Frederick County be requested
to repair and put in proper Condition for use all the Public Arms
in Frederick County as soon as he conveniently can and that he
apply as much of the Money he may receive from the Classes as will
defray the Expences that may be incurred therefor

ward Thirty one pounds, five shillings due him per Account passed
by the Depy Audr
That the Collector of the Tax for Ann Arundel County pay to
Capt. William Campbell one thousand three hundred and ninety one
Dollars to pay for two hundred and fourteen setts of Mounting to
compleat the Muskets agreeable to his Contract

We highly approve of the Spirit of the Inhabitants of Cecil County
and their Attachment to the common Cause, and will most readily
render them every Aid in our Power, we can furnish one eighteen
Pound Canon with Powder and Ball &ca but cannot at present engage
any smaller Cannon or Swivels, the small Cannon we have, are made
use of for field Pieces and we have no Swivels but what are aboard
the State Boats.
