not a Doubt but they intend to plunder and burn every Thing before
them and in all Probability Baltimore Town will be an Object with
them from the Quantity of Property both public and private stored
in the Town. We would recommend a Removal of all the valuable

Property and spare Provision into the County immediately, for whilst
so much Property is in the Town it will be an Inducement with the
Enemy to attempt to gain Possession of it, which might not be the
Case if the Property was removed. You are hereby empowered to
call on Duty the whole or such Numbers of the Militia of Baltimore
Town as you may think necessary.

Monday 9th April 1781

Ordered that Capt. Philemon Warfield deliver to John Turnbull
one hundred and fifty stand of Arms with Accoutrements & one
hundred and twenty spare Cartridge Boxes to be delivered over to
Colo Joshua Beall Seventy five stand with Accoutrements to the Lieut
of Charles County and also the further number of Fifty stand of
Arms with Accoutrements, one Barrel of Cannon & one Keg of
Musket powder to be by him delivered over to Colo Joshua Beall of
Prince Georges County to be by him forwarded to Colo John Mur-
dock Lieut of Montgomery County for the use of the Militia of said
County.
That the western shore Treasurer pay to William Coe twenty
eight pounds per Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to William MoBryde Commry of
Purchases for Somerset County six hundred pounds on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Steele forty four pounds five
shillings and six pence due him per Account passed by the A. Gl
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Thomas Johnson fifty two
pounds, two shillings and six pence due Wm Johnson and also one
hundred and eighty pounds due himself p Acct passed by the
Aud. Genl

Ordered that the Eastern shore Treasurer pay to Colo Henry
Hollingsworth five hundred and eighty one pounds sixteen shillings
and two pence to be delivered over to Barruch Williams due him per
Account passed by the Aud. Genl, and also the further sum of three
hundred and eleven pounds due himself p Acct passed by the
Aud. Genl
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to James Shoan of the
2nd Regt one Coat one Vest one pair Overalls, one Shirt, one hat and
one pair of Shoes, and also to John Bullen Esqr such Articles as are
necessary for the soldiers under innoculation and agreeable to re-
turns to be made by Doct Murray.
