Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John Chalmers
two thousand Pounds to be expended in purchasing Provisions of the
Marquis De la Fayette and to be by him accounted for.
That the said Treasurer pay to Ens. John Boone of the 1st Regt
four pounds sixteen shillings and twe pence of the new Emission
due him per Account passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Jubb Fowler Twenty six pounds
and ten pence of the same Emission on Account of his Salary to
6th Inst.
The Commissaries of Purchases for the Eastern shore (except
Cecil County, and also the Commissaries of Frederick, Washington
and Prince Georges Counties are authorized and requested to seize
or caused to be seized such Quantities of Fresh and Salt provisions
as are Specified in a Letter from this Board to the said Commissaries
of the 7th Inst. for the use of the Detachment under the Command
of the Marquis de la Fayette and also to impress a sufficient number
of Vessels with their Hands &ca Waggons or other Carriages with
their Teams and Drivers to Transport what Provisions they may
obtain as aforesaid to such place as shall hereafter be directed.

Friday 9th March 1781
Ordered That the Commissary of Stores deliver to William Taylor
of the 1st Regimt one suit of Cloaths & to Serj' Philson of the 7th
Regt one shirt.
That the said Treasurer pay to Ens. Robert Halkerston of the
3d Regimt sixteen pounds, and seven pence half penny of the new
Emission due him for stores per Account passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Ensign Mark McPherson of the
1st Regimt nine pounds, twelve shillings and four pence half penny
of the same Emission due him per Account passed by the D. Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Ens. Henry Clements of the 3d
Regt Three pounds four siblings and one penny half penny of the
same Emission due him per Account passed by the Depy Aud.
That the Issuing Commissary deliver to Ens. Robert Halkerston
twenty Gallons of Rum and eighty pounds of sugar due him to the
26 Feby Ensign Mark McPherson twelve Gallons of Rum and forty
eight pounds of Sugar and also to Ens. Henry Clements four Gallons
of Rum and sixteen pounds of Sugar due them to the 1st Instant.
Permission is hereby granted to lade on board the Schooner Salley
of the burthen of twelve Tons or thereabouts belonging to Samuel
Maynard & William Allein a Cargo of Flour, Bread, Beef, Hogs,
Sheep, Poultry, Brandy, Cider & Vegetables and the same to clear
out and transport in her to and for the use of the fleet of his most
Christian Majesty in the Chesapeak and the American Army in
