That the Issuing Commissary deliver to General Smallwood half
a Bushel Salt for the use of his family.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Lieut. Nicholas
Ricketts of Capt Dorseys Company of Artillery thirty Pounds of the
new Emission agreeable to a Resolution of the General Assembly of
the 30th Decembr last.

[Council to Thomas Richardson, Esqr.]

Daniel Carrol Esqr has informed this Board that there is a Quantity
of public Salt in the Hands of Mr Henry Rozier, and as we have the
Liberty from the Commissary General of Purchases of making use
of the Public Salt in this State, We request you to inform yourself
of the Quantity and to send forward what you may want, as it will
be more convenient to have it from hence than from, [ ] should
there be more than you may want, you will immediately let us know
that we may order it into the Hands of Mr John Brookes of Prince
Georges County who has applied for Salt

[Council to Capt Keeports.]

We shall be obliged to you to purchase immediately and send by
the first opportunity to Mr Muir sixty yards 6/4 of red Cloth for
facing Soldiers Coats thirty Pounds of Pewter for Buttons, and ten
pounds of whited brown Thread, these Articles of Cloth and Buttons
are very much wanted as we have a Quantity of soldiers Cloathing
that cannot be finished without them.

Thursday 1st February 1781

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Lieut John
Chever ten pounds seven shillings and one penny half penny of the
new Emission in lieu of four hundred and fourteen pounds five
shillings due him p Acct passed by the D. Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Thomas five pounds ten
shillings and seven pence half penny of the same Emission in lieu
of Two hundred and twenty one pounds, five shillings due him per
Account passed by the D. Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut. Isaac Rawlings of the Artil-
lery one pound five shilings and six pence of the same Emission, in
lieu of Fifty one pounds due him per Account passed by the Depy
Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Jones aid to Genl Smallwood
of the 7th Regiment Thirty pounds of the same Emission agreeable
to a Resolve of the General Assembly.
That the said Treasurer pay to Daniel Carroll Esquire three thou-
sand pounds in full for the Ballance of his last years Salary as a
Councillor
