Wednesday 22nd November 1780

Commission of Letters of Marque and Reprisal issued to Benja-
min Alien Commr of the Schooner Success, 95 Tons burthen, navi-
gated by 20 Men Mounting six Carriage Guns & 4 Swivels, belong-
ing to Alexander McKim & others of Baltimore Town.
John Hall Caile is appointed Commissary of Purchases for Dor-
chester County in the room of John Caile Harrison deceased.
Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay to Thomas Morti-
more thirty one Pounds, seventeen shillings and six Pence of the
new Emission in lieu of Twelve hundred and Seventy Pounds due
him per Account passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Benjamin Price of the 2nd
Regt nine Pounds, seven shillings and six pence of the same Emis-
sion on Account.
An order on the Collector of the Tax for Somerset County in
favor of Henry Jackson Esqr Commissary of the said County for
Two thousand Pounds issued the 28th of August last and is this
Day returned.
Benjamin Jones and William Richardson of the Matrosses in
Baltimore are herebv Discharged being unfit for Duty.

[Council to the General Assembly.]

The Office of Register of Wills for Montgomery County became
vacant in the Recess of the General Assembly, by the Resignation
of Mr Thomas Johns, and according to the Constitution and Form
of Government. I have, with the Advice of the Council appointed
Mr Samuel Turner, to hold that Office, until the Meeting of the
General Assembly
