prevent a depredation & Promise payment of Intrest
The Conveyance of Cattle a Cross Susquehannah is very difficult
My Cattle will have but a Short distance to be drove to the river
from the Experiance I have of it fear I shall have trouble in geting
them a Cross & therefore If it will do to slaughter them will prefer it
Your Excellency will Please to give me every direction necessary
for conducting this Business by return of my Brother If Pork or
Beef is to be salt'd up I should be glad to know as soon as Possable
that Casks may be prepared

[Chas Blake Queens Town to Gov. Lee]
Sir I rec'd yours of the sixth of this instant this day. I have
purchased near 3000 bushels of Wheat about 200 pounds of bacon
3 barrels of Pork and about 20 head of good beefs. I have pur-
chased almost all the wheat at sixty dollars the bacon and Pork at
the remitted price and the beef at ninety pounds pr hundred the best
terms I could gett it on, wheat had been rais'd here by Mr Hutchings
to 25 pounds; and after that I could not gett a bus: under that price,
and yr orders to gett it on the best terms I could and Colo Hindman
being enabled to give that has obliged me to offer the same, part

of the wheat is now going to Elk and the bacon and Pork, the rest

shall be sent as soon as possible. I shall be glad of a farther supply
of Cash, to enable me to go on tho' not yett quite without, very
little of the wheat has been purchas'd at more than sixty dollars;
If I am not to give what is offer'd by others please to say in my next;
I shall not exceed 25, till order d by you, as I think that too much
tho' it may be wrong therefore hope you'll send me an answer soon.

Sir This will Inform you that we have four Pieces of Common
Cloth Sutable for Soldiers of a Blew Colour and Good, which you
can have on the same Terms you have the other Goods, they have
been Packed up Carefully this several Days, in four Boxes and four
Bales, the Amount is £83829..18.. 9. I will send you the Bill of
Parcels the first Safe Oppertunity. you must let me know Immedi-
atelv if you take this Cloth
We have Expected wagons every Day for your goods they still
lay in my Store and if the wagons is not come away when this
Reaches you they had Better come Directly to Clepards ferrey we
have Desired Mr Rozer if they come to his house to send them to
the ferry.
