This deponent being duely Sworn deposeth & Saith, that he hath
known Daniel Hearn many years, & that he never heard the said
Hearn Say anything about the Pretender, or anything disrespectfull
towards his Majesty King George, or the Government but on the
contrary he always took the said Hearn to be an honest quiet man

B — Having duly Considerd the Difficultys of a Revenue Bill, I
do Strictly order & Direct you not to Consent to any Bill or Bills
relating to my Revenue, Till you have my farther Orders or direc-
tions And that you do Summons a Counsel as soon as may be, And
Cause this my Instruction to be Enter'd in the Counsel Book

Charles Absolute Lord & Proprietary of the Province of Mary-
land & Avalon, Lord Baron of Baltimore &c. To our right Trusty
& well beloved Tho: Bladen Esqr Our Lieutenant Governor of our
Province of Maryland and to Our Right Trusty & well Beloved the
Upper & Lower Houses of our Assembly, there & to all others in
Our said Province of Maryland for the time being Greeting Whereas
at a Sessions of Assembly begun & held at Annapolis in our said
Province of Maryland the fifth day of August in the Thirty first
Year of our Dominion over the said Province of Maryland Anno
Domini 1745 An Act Entituled An Act for Laying an Imposition
on Tobacco and Other Commodities therein mention'd for the Dis-
charge of his Lordships Quit-rents & support of Government passed
into a Law, on due Consideration thereof Wee have thought fit to
dissent, to the said Act, and do hereby declare the said Act Null &
Void, and of no Effect.

& to Our Trusty & well Beloved Benjamin Tasker & Edmund Jenings
Esqrs by Lord Baltimore, London.]
Whereas it doth Appear that there is a Considerable sum of
Money due to me from Mr Phillip Thomas's Account as Late Farmer
of Baltimore Anne Arundel & Calvert Countys
I do therefore direct & Order every one of you as mentioned above,
to Examine & settle it in the most Effectual Mannor, and that you do
Cause the Ballance due to me, to be Immediately paid into the hands
of my Agent.
And for an Encouragement to Mr Onerio Razolini, who for the
Pains & trouble he has had in Discovering this fraud, or Mistake
out of the to be paid by Mr Phillip Thomas, I desire you will present
him wth one Hundred Pounds, and that the Perticulars of the Accot
be transmitted to me, and you are Likewise to thank Mr Onerio
Razolini on my Behalf.
