630 Assembly Proceedings, May 16-July 11, 1747.

before particularly appropriated, shall be recovered in the Name
of the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary, one Moiety thereof
to be particularly applied towards defraying the Charge of the
County where the Offence shall be committed, and the other half
to the Person that will inform or sue for the same; and where the
Penalty or Forfeiture exceeds fifty Shillings Current Money, or six
hundred Pounds of Tobacco, the same to be recovered in any Court
of Record; and where the Penalty or Forfeiture does not exceed
the aforesaid Sums, to be recovered before a single Magistrate, as
in the Case of small Debts: Provided always, That such Prosecu-
tions be commenced within one Year after the Offence committed.
And be it further Enacted by the Authority aforesaid, That no
Officer or Officers hereafter mentioned in this present Act, their
Ministers, Servants, or Deputies, by Reason or Colour of his or their
Office or Offices, shall have, receive, or take, of any Person or Per-
sons, directly or indirectly, any other or greater Fees, which shall
arise or become due after the last Day of November next, than by
this Act are hereafter limited, and allowed to the several Officers
hereafter mentioned; provided the said several Fees shall be paid in
inspected Tobacco, or Money, where Money is to be paid by the
Directions of this Act: That is to say ;
