in a Bill accordingly.
The Bill entituled, An Act to prevent certain Evils and Incon-
veniencies attending the Sale of Strong Liquors, and Running of
Horse Races, near the yearly meeting of the people Called Quakers.
And the Bill entituled, An Act Empowering certain Commission-
ers therein mentioned, to lay out, and set a price, or cause a price to
be set, on Two Acres of Land, in Sr Margaret's Westminster parish,
in Anne Arundel County; were severally Read, and passed for In-
grossing.

The House met according to Adjournment, &c.
Capt Hooper, and Capt Ennalls appeared in the House.
A Bill entituled, An Act Reviving An Act entituled, An Act for
the Speedy and effectual publication of the Laws of this province,
and for the Encouragement of Jonas Green of the City of Annapolis,
printer; was Read the first time, and Ordered to lie on the Table.
The House taking into Consideration the proposals made by the
Conferees of the Upper House, to the Conferees of the Lower House,
relating to the Bill for the Amendment of the Staple of Tobacco &c.
The Question was put, whether it shall be an Instruction to the Con-
ferees of this House, to agree to an alteration of the Clause in the
Bill relating to the appointment of Inspectors, or not ? Resolved in
the Affirmative.
