The House being Divided on the Question, it was Determined by
the Voice of the Honourable Speaker, That the money should be
paid to Col. Edward Sprigg.
The Bill entituled An Act for Raising Three pence Sterling per
Hogshead on all Tobacco to be exported, for purchasing Arms and
Ammunition; and for an immediate Supply of Arms for the De-
fence of this province, was read the second time, and the Question
was put, Whether the said Bill shall pass, or not ? Resolved in the
Affirmative.
