And an Ingrossed Bill, entituled An Act to prohibit the Raising
of Swine and Geese, in Princess Ann Town, in Somerset County ;
were Severally Read and Assented to, and sent to the Upper House,
with the Paper Bills, by Capt. Tilghman and Mr Mills.
The House Adjourns til 2 of the Clock.

Post Meridiem

The House met, &c.
The Governor communicated to Mr Speaker the following An-
swer to the Address of this House, viz.
Gentlemen of the Lower House of Assembly.
I shall not fail, according to your Address, to do every thing in
my power, to procure a reasonable allowance for the Arms taken out
of our public Magazine, for the Use of the fforces raised here for
his Majesty's Service. Sam. Ogle
The Bill, entituled, An Act continuing An Act, entituled, An Act
to prevent cutting up Tobacco Plants, destroying of Tobacco, and
Tobacco Houses &c.
The Bill, entituled, An Act continuing An Act, entituled, An Act
for punishment of Horse Stealers, and other Offenders;
The Bill, entituled, An Act continuing An Act, entituled, A Sup-
plementary Act, to an Act, entituled An Act laying an Imposition
on Negroes, and several sorts of Liquors, and also on Irish Ser-
vants, &c.
And the Bill, entituled, An Act continuing An Act, entituled,
An Act to prevent the injuring of Harbours within this province
&c. were Severally Read the Second time, and will pass; and were
sent to the Upper House, by Mr Stoddert and Capt Handy.
The Governor communicated to Mr Speaker the following Mes-
sage, viz.
Gentlemen of the Lower House of Assembly,
I Have this morning Received a Letter from the Governor of
New England, with an Extract of another from Cot. Stoddart,
which is upon a matter of such Importance to all the British Colo-
nies upon the Continent of America, that I thought my Self obliged
to lay it immediately before you, for your Consideration, and make
no doubt but you will readily and chearfully give all the Assistance
that can be reasonably expected from us upon this occasion.

And the following papers, viz.
Sir This will serve to inform your Honour, that by Dispatches
I have received from Albany and Northampton, I find, that the In-
dians of the Six Nations, are generally engaged in the War against
the ffrench of Canada; that diverse parties of them are now out,
