my power, to procure a reasonable allowance for the Arms taken out
of our public Magazine, for the Use of the fforces raised here for

The Bill, entituled, An Act continuing An Act, entituled, An Act

The Bill, entituled, An Act continuing An Act, entituled, A Sup-
plementary Act, to an Act, entituled An Act laying an Imposition
on Negroes, and several sorts of Liquors, and also on Irish Ser-
vants, &c.
And the Bill, entituled, An Act continuing An Act, entituled,
An Act to prevent the injuring of Harbours within this province
&c. were Severally Read the Second time, and will pass; and were
sent to the Upper House, by Mr Stoddert and Capt Handy.
The Governor communicated to Mr Speaker the following Mes-
sage, viz.
Gentlemen of the Lower House of Assembly,
I Have this morning Received a Letter from the Governor of
New England, with an Extract of another from Cot. Stoddart,
which is upon a matter of such Importance to all the British Colo-
nies upon the Continent of America, that I thought my Self obliged
to lay it immediately before you, for your Consideration, and make
no doubt but you will readily and chearfully give all the Assistance
that can be reasonably expected from us upon this occasion.
