A Bill entituled, An Act enabling and requiring the Clerk of Bal-
timore County to Record a Deed of Bargain and Sale from Morgan
Murray to Mary Stevenson, and the making valid the same, was
Read the first time, and Ordered to lie on the Table.
A Bill entituled, An Act to enable Onorio Razolini to Convey, in
Right of Elizabeth Calvert, an Infant, to George Plater Esqr certain
Lands therein mentioned, was read the first time, and Ordered to lie
on the Table.

George Plater Esqr from the Upper House, delivers to Mr Speaker
a petition diverse Inhabitants of Baltimore Town, in the County of
Baltimore, and a petition of the people called Quakers; severally
referred by the Upper House to the Consideration of the Lower
House.
The House adjourns until 2 of the Clock

On Reading the Bill entituled, An Act for amending the Staple
of Tobacco, for preventing ffrauds in his Majesty's Customs &c.
the Question was put, Whether Two shillings or ffour shillings
should be paid upon the delivering out each Hogshead of Crop
Tobacco ?
Resolved, That four shillings be paid.
