Two Engrossed Bills from the Lower house by Messrs Ennals &
Bond One Entituled an Act for Raising three half Pence p hhd on
all Tobacco Exported out of this Province for the Use of the Gov-
ernor the other Entituled an Act for Continuing an Act of Assembly
of this Province Entituled an Act ascertaining the Gauge and Tare
of Tobacco hogsheads and to Prevent Cutting Groping and Defac-
ing Tobacco taken on Board Ships or Vessells upon freight, Thus

The following Message is sent to the Lower house with the
Journall of Accounts by Edmund Jenings Esqre
By the Upper house of Assembly 11 July 1747
Gentlemen By your former Several Messages on the first of
June 1744, 28 September 1745 & 4 July 1746 you will find we
Desired the following allowance to be made in the Journall
1st The Remainder of 30960lbs of Tobacco Due to the Late
Governor after Deduction of 21810lbs of Tobacco & 240lbs Tobacco
being 8910 lbs Tobacco
2d 1440 lbs Tobacco Due to the present Governor for Twelve
Proclamations in the Year 1742
3d Several Accounts Laid before this house in 1744 by the
Printer and then Sent to Your house
4th Two Accounts Due to Mr Ross Clerk of the Council and this
house for Publick Services the One for 3038lbs Tobacco & the other
for a Ball, of £120: 7: 9 Currency
