Bond One Entituled an Act for Raising three half Pence p hh^d on
all Tobacco Exported out of this Province for the Use of the Gov-
ernor the other Entituled an Act for Continuing an Act of Assembly
of this Province Entituled an Act ascertaining the Gauge and Tare
of Tobacco hogsheads and to Prevent Cutting Groping and Defac-
ing Tobacco taken on Board Ships or Vessells upon freight, Thus

Journall of Accounts by Edmund Jenings Esq^re

Gentlemen By your former Several Messages on the first of
June 1744, 28 September 1745 & 4 July 1746 you will find we
Desired the following allowance to be made in the Journall

1^st The Remainder of 30960^lbs of Tobacco Due to the Late
Governor after Deduction of 21810^lbs of Tobacco & 240^lbs Tobacco
being 8910 ^lbs Tobacco

2^d 1440 ^lbs Tobacco Due to the present Governor for Twelve
Proclamations in the Year 1742

3^d Several Accounts Laid before this house in 1744 by the
Printer and then Sent to Your house
4^th Two Accounts Due to M^r Ross Clerk of the Council and this
house for Publick Services the One for 3038^lbs Tobacco & the other
for a Ball, of £120: 7: 9 Currency

5^th The Sum of 918: 14: 6 Disbursed by the Governor in Build-
ing the House Designed for the Governor

6^th The Quantity of 1560^lbs Tobacco Due to the Late Governor
as Chancellor

7^th Also the Sum of 5: 10: 0 Currency Due to the Printer for
Publick Services.

Besides these Several Ommissions we abserve you have made
Allowance of only Part of the Governors and Secretarys Accounts
Claimed from the Publick in the said Years 1744, 1745 & 1746
which may appear in the Messages of those Years, and as we are
Unapprized of the Reasons of such Deductions we hope you will
