the Oath of abjuration repeated and signed the Test and Taken the
usual Oath of Office. The House adjourns til Monday morning nine
of the Clock.

July 7

Monday Morning July 7, 1746.

The House met according to Adjournment and the Proceedings
of Saturday were read. All Members being present as on Saturday
except Mr Bond Mr Mills and Mr Dennis. Col. Dashiel and Mr
Harrison sent to present the Address prepared on Saturday to his
Excellency. They return and acquaint Mr Speaker they have pre-
sented it. The Bill Entituled An Act for Limitation of Officers Fees
passed by both Houses of Assembly in August Session 1745, was
ordered to be Entered on the Iournal and it is as followeth
An Act for Limitation of Officers Fees. Be it hereby declared and
Enacted by the Right Honble the Lord Proprietary by and with the
advice and Consent of his Lordships Governor and the Upper and

Lower Houses of Assembly and the Authority of the same That from
and after the End of this present Session of Assembly no Officer or
Officers hereafter mentioned in this present Act their Ministers
Servants or Deputies By Reason or Coulour of his or their Office
Officers shall have receive or take of any person or persons directly
or indirectly any other or greater Fees than By this Act is hereafter
limited and allowed to the several Officers hereafter mentioned That
is to say
