The House met according to Adjournment Mr Paca appears in
the House
On motion of a Member, Leave is given to bring in A Bill for
Limitation of officers Fees and ordered, that the Committee of Laws
prepare and bring in the same. It appearing to the House that Mr
Francis Lee, A Member returned for Dorchester County hath Ac-
cepted of a County Clerkship since his Election
Ordered, that Mr Speaker issue his Warrant to the Secretary of

this Province to make out a Writ directed to the Sheriff of the said

County, for the Electing a Member to serve in this Present Assem-
bly, in the stead of the said Mr Lee
On motion of a Member, Leave is given to bring in a further sup-
plementary Bill to the Act entituled, An Act relating to Servants
and Slaves and ordered that the Committee of Laws prepare and
bring in the same
The House adjourns 'til To-morrow morning 9 of the Clock.

The House met according to Adjournment, and the proceedings of
Yesterday were read Mr Philip Hammond absent
On Motion of a Member, Leave is given to bring in a Bill for the
easier and better securing the Estates of Debtors absconding, and of
persons Bankrupt, for the use of their Creditors, and equal Distribu-
tion of the same; and Ordered that the Committee of Laws prepare
and bring in the same.
Dr Carroll from the Committee of Laws delivers Mr Speaker A
Bill entituled, an Act for issuing and taking out of the office of the
Commisrs or Trustees appointed for emitting Bills of Credit estab-
lished by Act of Assembly the sum of Four thousand Five hundred
Pounds Currant Money for Encouragement of such able bodied Free-
men as shall voluntarily enlist themselves into his Majesty's service
for the intended Expedition Against Canada, and for maintaining
and conveying them to the Place of Rendezvous; as also for replac-
ing of the said Sum and for the better regulating Ordinaries and
