An Act

An Act Continuing an Act, entituled, An Act for the speedy and
effectual Publication of the Laws of this Province, and for the
Encouragement of Jonas Green, of the City of Annapolis, Printer.

Be it Enacted, by the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary, by
and with the Advice and Consent, of his Lordship's Governor, and
the Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly and the Authority of the
same, That the above-mentioned Act, entituled, An Act for the
speedy and effectual Publication of the Laws of this Province, and
for the Encouragement of Jonas Green, of the City of Annapolis,
Printer, made at a Session of Assembly, begun and held at the City
of Annapolis, on Tuesday the first Day of May, Annoque Domini,
Seventeen Hundred Forty and Four, be, and is hereby, Continued
in full Force until the Twenty-fifth Day of December, which shall be
in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty-
six, and no longer.

Chap. II

An Additional Supplementary Act to the Act, entituled, An Act for
laying out and erecting a Town, at a place called Long-Point, on
the West side of North-East River in Caecil County.

Preamble

Whereas, upon the Tenth Day of May next, sundry Lots in said
Town called Charles-Town, will be Forfeited for want of Building
thereon, and performing the Requisites by the said Act of Assembly
appointed: And it being found by experience that the most ready
and expeditious way to dispose of the said forfeited Lots in said
Town, to be by Ballot, in the same manner as was at first used and
appointed by said Act of Assembly.

Be it Enacted by the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary, by
and with the Advice and Consent of his Lordship's Governor, and
the Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly, and the Authority of the
same, That it shall and may be lawful for the Commissioners of said
Town, for the Time being, and they are hereby impowered, if they
see fit, to dispose of the said forfeited Lots, by way of Ballot, in the
same Manner, and giving the same Notice, as is directed in said Act,
or in such other Manner as shall to the major part of them appear
to be most conducive to the Benefit and Advantage of said Town;
any thing in the first mentioned Act to the contrary notwithstanding.

And be it further Enacted, That all Money arising by the Sale or
Disposal of said Lots, shall be laid out for the publick Uses of said
Town, and be accounted for by the Commissioners in the same man-
ner as is directed by former Act, of Assembly relating thereto.
