Wednesday Morning, September 25. 1745.
The House met according to Adjournment, and the Proceedings
of Yesterday were read.
The Bill entituled, An Act for Limitation of Officers Fees, was
read with the Amendments proposed by the Upper House, and
passed for Ingrossing.
The House upon inspecting the Account of Philip Lee Esq. Navall
Officer of North Potomack, for the Duty of 15d per Hogshead by
him collected, between the 29th of September 1743, and the 31st of
March 1744, as rendered by his Executor Mr Thomas Lee, finding
that the Probat thereon indorsed, is not in the usual Manner,
Ordered, that the Clerk write to the said Thomas Lee, to render
the aforesaid Account at the next Session of Assembly, with a Pro-
bat made thereto in the usual Form.
The Chairman of the Committee of Accounts lays before the
House, the Account of Charles Hammond Esqr Treasurer of the
Western Shore; and there being an Article of £6.. 5. charged in the
said Account for Commission on £250 Sterling, received by the said
