as received by his Lordship, we therefore pray that your Excellency
will order to be laid before us the Amount of the Quit Rents as afore-
said; as also communicate to us what his Lordship's Desire and Ex-
pection may be herein, or any other Circumstance which you may
think conducive to the Completion of this matter.
Being read and assented to, was ordered, on Behalf of the House,
to be signed by the Honourable Speaker.
Wm Stoughton Esqre and Mr Sprigg ordered to acquaint his Ex-
cellency, that this House hath prepared an Address to him, and de-
sires to know when and where he will be pleased to receive it: They
return and acquaint Mr Speaker he will receive it immediately in the
Conference Chamber.

Mr Smith, with thirteen others sent to present the Address. They

return and acquaint Mr Speaker they have presented it

The Bill entituled An Act to record and make valid in Law a Deed
indented of Bargain and Sale from John Awbrey to John Hussey,
was read the second Time, passed, and sent to the Upper House by
Mr Sprigg and Capt. Addison
The House adjourns to 2 of the Clock

Post Meridiem
The House met according to Adjournment.
A Petition of Mordecai Price praying leave to bring in a Bill to
cure the Defects in a Deed made between a certain Stephen Price,
and the Petitioner, for a Tract of Land lying in Baltimore County,
read, and Ordered to lie for further Consideration
The Petition of the Free holders and Inhabitants of Cambridge
Town in Dorchester County, praying an Act to prevent the raising
of Geese and Swine in the said Town; read and granted

Ordered that Mr Nicholas Goldsborough, Mr Richard Gresham,
and Mr Pemberton do settle the Fees due to the Officers of this
House, and the Allowance to sundry Witnesses for their Attendance,
on a Complaint made to the House, against Thomas Ireland junior
a Magistrate of Calvert County

Mr Nicholas Goldsborough delivers Mr Speaker the following
Report viz.

September 3. 1745
In Pursuance of an Order of the Lower House of Assembly to
settle sundry Fees arising due to the Officers of that House, and
sundry witnesses for Attendance, on a Complaint made there against
Thomas Ireland junior, we have proceeded to tax the same in
