That the said Treasurer pay to John Shaw one thousand Pounds
on Account
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Cuthbert Abell, Gabriel
Williams, Cuthbert Stone and Arthur M^oLane Recruits for the 7
Regim^t each a Suit of Cloaths the Bounty allowed by the late Act of
Assembly.
That the said Commissary deliver to Col^o Mathew Driver Twenty
eight Pounds, ten shillings in Cloathing for the use of Mich^l Merian
a 9 Months Soldier in the 5 Regim^t Disch^d due him by the Act to
procure Troops for the American Army.
That the said Commissary deliver to M^rs M^cHard 3 yds flannel
to be ret^d or paid for.
That the said Commissary deliver to Serj^t Enoch M^cLane of the
7^th Regim^t & Aaron Spalding of the 2^d Reg^t one shirt each.
That the Collector of the Tax for Saint Mary's County pay to
Serj^t Enoch M^oLane of the 7^th Reg^t three thousand Dollars to be
expended in the recruit^g Service & Acc^d for.

[Council to Mr. Elijah Cole]

Sir We received your Letter of the 27^th March and have sent you
an Order on the Collector of Cecil for two thousand five hundred
Pounds current Money for the Purpose of purchasing Flour Barrels,
which we imagine will be fully sufficient, if not, inform us.

[Council to Mr. William McBryde]

Sir Your Letter of the 19^th Jan^ry we lately received. You must
send forward the 152 Barrels of Flour purchased by Order of the
Governor and Council and deliver it to M^r Henry Hollingsworth at
the Head of Elk and take his Receipt; you must also deliver the Corn

rn M^r Hollingswarth and send us an Account of the Quantity.

Sir We had the Pleasure of receiving your Favor of the 15^th Ins^t
by M^r M^cClain and have given him an Order for Cloathing for the
Recruits and an Order on the Collector of Charles County for 3000
