Holt & Christian Bonnefald, But denyeth th^t hee did any thing by
way of diuorce betweene Robert Holt & his former Wife Dorothy,
Notw^thstanding confesseth, th^t he drue & signed as a wittnes th^t
paper p^eoduced by Rob^t Holt, bearing date 4^th of December w^ch
conteyned a release of all claime of marriage from the s^d Dorothy to
the s^d Robert, W^ch paper hee sayth hee did draw att their request up-
pon her Confession th^t shee had Two Bastards by Edward Hudson,
& refusall to bee reconciled to Robert Holt,

The Examinaon of Will^m Haynes taken uppon oath by me Philip
Caluert. The Depon^t sayth th^t hee was present when Will^m Wilkin-
son did ioyne Rob^t Holt & Christian Bonnafeild in marriage some-
time in January last & further sayth not.

To bee Remembred th^t on the 24^th day of Septemb^r came Will^m
Haynes before me Philip Caluert Esq^r & acknowledgeth himselfe
to owe & stand indebted unto the L^d Prop^r in the full summe of one
Thowsand pownds of Tob & Cask. If hee shall not come to the
next Prouinciall Court to bee holden for this prouince att S^t Leon-
ards the 5^th day of Octob^r next, then & there to giue euidence agst
Rob^t Holt, Christian Bonnefeild, Will^m Wilkinson or eyther of
them th^t shall be there indicted for ffelony against the Statute 7^o
Jacobi Regis agst Poligamy

Sayth th^t hee was marryed sometime in January last to Christian
Bonnefeild by Will^m Wilkinson parson, who tould him the s^d Holt,
th^t hee was free to marry any Body, by reason of mutuall discharges
from the Bond of Matrimony (as they conceiued) Guyen betweene
him the s^d Rob^t Holt & Dorothy his former Wife dated 4^th of
Decemb^r 1654. That there was p^ent att their marriage Will^m Haynes,
James Hall & his Wife, Beniamin Hamond & his Wife
