The humble Pet" of Job Chandler. Sheweth
That yor Petr had a Mare running in St Maries County, & about
this time twelmonth yor Petr came downe there to haue marked her,
or gott her home where hearing Barnaby Jackson did lay claime to
the sd Beast, & tht hee was looking for her to marke her, yor Petr
meeting wth the sd Barnaby, did before sufficient wittnes forewarne
him, from marking the sd Mare. Yett neuerthelesse the same day,
or the next, he finding the sd Mare, marked her, & deteynes her from
yor Pete. And further yor Petr being att St Maries in July last,
sent for the sd Barnaby to know whither hee would deliuer yor Petr
his Mare wthout trouble, who told yor Petr before Capt Cornewalleys
& others, tht the Mare hee had marked was his owne, & tht Capt
Stone had deliuered my mare to Capt Cornewalleys, & tht shee had
Two Mare Colts.
