The humble Address of the Lower House of Assembly
May it please Your Excy.
It appearing to this House that out of the Duty of 3d p hogshead
raised for purchasing Arms and Ammunition for the defence of
this province, as also out of the money raised by Virtue of an Act for
laying an Imposition of 3d p hhd on all Tobacco to be exported out
of this Province for the Time therein mentioned, there hath been
paid to Your Excy the Sum of £530.. 7.. 6 wherefore we humbly
pray that your Excy will be pleased to Order an Account to be laid
before this House shewing to what uses the said Sum hath been
applied.
Which was approved and ordered to be engrossed.
The House adjourns untill three of the Clock in the Afternoon.

The Address to the Governour being ingrossed, Colo Hanson and
Mr Matthews sent to acquaint the Governour therewith, They return
and acquaint Mr Speaker the Governour will be ready to receive the
Address in half an hour in the Conference Chamber.
