The House Adjourns untill Two of the Clock in the Afternoon.

Post Merediem.
The House met according to Adjournm* &c.
Phillip Lee Esqr from the Upper House Delivered to Mr Speaker
the Paper Bill Entituled an Act for regulating the Militia &c.
Indorsed. Read & Passed for Ingrossing. And an Ingrossed Bill
Entituled an Act for regulating the Militia &c. Indorsed Read &
Assented to.

Which Ingrossed bill was read here and by this House being As-
sented to and the Paper Bill Endorsed and sent to the Upper House.
The Engrossed bill whereof this is the Original is read & Assented
to. were Sent to the Upper House by Collo Hanson & Collo Belt.
Collo Belt from the Committee of Aggrievances Delivered to Mr
Speaker the following Report.

By the Committee of Aggrievances April 3d 1733

It being Represented to your Committee that the Clerk of the
Council hath Charged Several Colonels and other Military Officers,
for their Commissions.
Your Committee takes the Offices to be places of Trouble without
Profit, & that the Gentlemen that Accept thereof Ought not to be
burthened with the Charges of their Commissions: The Considera-
tion of the Premisses is recommended by your Committee to the
House.

On reading the said Report Resolved the fact therein complained
of is an Aggrievance & that the House Conceives in regard that he
is Allowed by the Publick 12000 pound of Tobacco out of the Assem-
bly time; And that the House Conceives the Making out these Com-
missions to be a part of his Duty.
A Petition of the Inhabitants of Durham parish in Charles County
was read and leave Given to bring in a Bill.
Mr Dulany brings in the following Address. [This address is
printed at page 37.]

Read and Approved and Ordered to be Ingrossed.
The following Message. [This message is printed at page 37.]
