The House met according to Adjournment, &c.
The Question was put that a Bill be brought in to lay an Additional
Duty on new England Spirits imported into this Province.
Resolved in the Affirmative
Ordered that a Bill be brought in to lay an Additional Duty of
three Pence Currency p Gallon on all Spirits from New England ;
and three Pence p Gallon on Wine; And after the rate of Five Shil-
lings for every Barrell of Cyder.

Mr Attorney from the Upper House Delivered to Mr Speaker the
following Message. [This message is printed at page 27.]
Mr Beale, Mr Crabb, Mr Smith, and Majr Sprigg are Appointed
Conferees to join the members of the Upper House concerning the
Prisoners Bill. The following Message. [This message is printed
at page 27.]
Was sent to the Upper House by Mr Beale & Majr Sprigg.
An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act Reviving an Act of Assembly
Entituled an Act for the Speedy & Effectual Publication of the Laws

of this Province and for the Encouragement of William Parks of
the City of Annapolis Printer, was read and Assented to and sent to
the Upper House with the Paper Bill by Capn Gordon & Mr Caldwell.
