Major part of them shall direct any thing in the before mentioned
Act to the Contrary in any Wise notwithstanding And be it fur-
ther Enacted by the Authority Advice and Consent aforesaid that
the Commissioners or Trustees for Emitting the Bills of Credit
aforesaid shall on demand pay unto the said Members of the Lower
house of Assembly for Somerset County or the Major Part of them
or their or the Major Part of their Order the aforesaid Sum of
five hundred Pounds in Bills of Credit for the purpose aforesaid
Which the said Members or the Major Part of them are hereby em-
powered to lay out in erecting or building the said Goal.

An Act Enabling the Commissioners or Trustees for Emitting the
Bills of Credit Established by Act of Assembly to pay to the
Representatives of Severall Counties the sum of five hundred
Pounds Each.
Whereas by the Act Entituled an Act for Emitting and making
Current ninety Thousand Pounds Current Money of Maryland in
Bills of Credit amongst other things it was Enacted that five hundred
Pounds in each respective County within this Province should be
laid out in Building Convenient Goals in the respective Countys
near and Convenient to the severall Court houses under the direc-
tion and appointment of the severall Representatives of the severall
Countys for the time being And for as much as no Provision is made
by the Said Act Enabling the Commissioners or Trustees of the
Paper Currency Office to pay out the said sums Be it Enacted by
the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary by and with the Advice
and Consent of his Lordships Governour and the Upper and Lower
houses of Assembly and the Authority of the same that the said
Commissioners or Trustees for the time being at the request and by
order of the Representatives of Saint Marys Charles Prince Georges
Baltimore Calvert Dorchester Talbot Queen Annes Kent and Cecill
Countys shall pay to such representatives for the time being or the
Major Part of the Representatives of Each County or their Order
the sum of five hundred Pounds in the said Bills of Creditt to be
applyed as by the aforesaid recited Act is directed any Law to
the Contrary notwithstanding.

board Ships or Vessells upon Freight.
Whereas as well for the supporting and Maintaining the Publick
faith and Credit by the Just and Equal Payment of all Duties laid
upon Tobacco Exported out of this Province as also for the Encour-
agement of Trade by the fair and honest Performance of all Con-
