tituled an Act to Encourage Adventurers in Iron works Sent to
Upr House with The Paper Bill by Mr Trippe and Mr Stoddart.
An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act for the relief of Isaac
Tunney &c
An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act for Erecting a Town in Cecil
County on the North Side of Sassafras River at a place Known by
the name of Penningtons Point &c. Severally read asented to and
Sent to the Upr House by Major Sprigg and Mr Sheredine.
An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act to prevent the makeing of
Seconds read and ascented to and Sent to the Upr House by Col
Dashiel and Mr Courts.
A Bill Intituled an Act to Alter the times tor Holding the Assizes
& Provincial Courts and to appoint the said Courts to be held at
the Times therein mentioned read first and Second time by Especial
order passed and Sent to Upr House by Col Hooper and Mr
Kennard.
Proposed that a Gratuity be made to Col Levin Gale for his past
Services as Chief Justice of the Provincial Court.

Saturday May 1st 1736.
The House met according to Adjournment. The Question was
put that this House now Enter into a further Consideration re-
lating to the Quit Rents and Alienation fines. Resolved in the
Affirmative. Phillip Lee Esqr from the Upr House Delivers the
Bill Entituled a Supplementary act to the act for Limitation of the
times for Sniping Tobacco Indorsed by the Upr House
Read the Second time and with following Indorsement Pro-
posed that a Sum not Exceeding £4000 Sterling be raised to the
Lord Proprietor in Lieu of His Quit Rents and Alienation fines.
Col Gale Col Hooper Mr George Mr Hammond Mr Smith and Mr
Key appointed a Committee to Consider of ways and means of raise-
ing £4000 Sterling to His Lordship in Lieu of his Quit Rents and
Alienation fines.
