an Act to remedy some defects in an Indenture of Bargain and Sale
made and Executed by Michl Curtis and Sarah his wife and the fol-
lowing Message [See page 422.]
An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act Ascertaining the Gauge and
Tare of Tobacco hhds &c. An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act to
Cut of the Entail of a Tract of Land lying in Dorchester County &c.
An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act for the payment of a sum
of money To Andrew Ramsay &c.
An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act for the further Assessment of
20000ll Tobacco on The Taxable Inhabitants of Durham Parish in
Charles County &c.
An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act for the further Assessment of
so much money on the Taxable Inhabitants of King and Queen
Parish in St Mary's and Charles Countys as will build a new
Church &c.

House wth the paper Bills by Mr Denton and Col. Dashiel.

A Bill Entituled a Supplementary Act to the Act Entituled an
Act for Limitation of the Time of Shipping Tobacco Read first and
second time by Especial order and will pass.
Sent to Upper House by Mr Hawkins and Mr Hall.
It is Reported by the Members of this House who were Appointed
to Joyne some Members of the Upr House to Consider of an Equiva-
lent to be given to his Lordship for his Quit Rents and Alienation
fines that the said Members of the Upr House acquainted them That
that House thought 2/6 Sterl p Hogshead was too Small a Sum to
be offered to his Lordship as such Equivalent that they thought
no less than three Shillings Sterling p Hogshead ought to be
offered and that the Upr House would not Join in any proposalls for
a less Sum than three Shillings Sterling p Hogshead. The Question
was put that the Consideration be referred. Resolved in the
Negative.
The Question was put that the three Shillings Sterling p Hogs-
head be raised to his Lordship in Lieu of bis Quit Rents and Aliena-
tion fines. Resolved in the Negative.
