Harbour brought in read the first time and ordered to lye on the
Table.

On Leave Given a Bill Entituled an Act for the Payment of a Sum
of Money to Andrew Ramsay &c of Glasgow in the Kingdom of
Great Brittain Merchants brought in read the first time and ordered
to Lye on The Table.
On Leave Given a Bill Entituled an Act for the Releif of Isaac
Tunny a Languishing Prisoner in Talbot County Goal William
Pratt in the same Goal Richard Standforth in Charles County Goal
and Samuel Steel in Queen Anns County Goal Brought in read the
first Time and ordered to lye on the Table.
George Plater Esqr from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker
The Petition of Richard Snowden and Others praying leave to bring
in a Bill to Clear a Road way on both sides of Patuxent River from
Queen Anns Town to the Petitioners Iron Works Indorsed recom-
mended to the Consideration of the Lower House of Assembly
which was here Read and leave given to bring in a Bill as Prayed.

The Governour Communicated the following Answer to the Ad-

dress of this House,

On Leave Given a Bill Entituled an Act Ascertaining the Gauge
and Tare of Tobacco Hogsheads and to prevent Cutting Cropping
and Defaceing Tobacco Taken on Board Ships or Vessels upon
freight Brought in read the first time and ordered to Lye on the
Table.
Mr Hammond a representative of A: All County Appeared this
morning. The House Adjourns.

The House met According to Adjournment &c. Mr Smith a
Representative of Calvert County Appeared in the House this After-
noon.
The Bill Entituled an Act reviving and Continuing an Act of
Assembly Entituled an Act for the Speedy recovery of Small Debts
out of Court &ca read the second time and passed.
The Bill Entituled an Act to Continue an Act Entituled An Act
for raiseing a Duty of 3d p Hogshead on all Tobacco Exported
out of this Province for the Uses therein mentioned read the second
time Passed which two Bills were Sent to The Upper House by
Mr Mathews and Mr Hemsley.
The Bill Entituled an Act for the payment of all Publick and
County Allowances in Current money of this Province Read the
Second time and the Question was put that the said Bill pass
Resolved in the Negative
