Read the second time by Especial Order the Bill Entituled a sup-
plementary Act to the Act Entituled an Act for emitting and mak-
ing Current ninety thousand pounds Current money of Maryland
in Bills of Credit, and to restrain some Evil Practices of Sheriffs
under Colour of the said Act committed, and passed with the fol-
lowing Amendments Viz. in 7th Line of 3d Page between the Words,
excepted, & be, put, which shall hereafter be made and allowed by
the Publick or any County shall; & in 10th Line of the same Page

instead of Law, put, Act of Assembly; sent to the Lower house by
Col Ward
A Bill from the Lower house by Mrs Matthews & Middleton En-
tituled an Explanatory Act to the Act Entituled an Act to encourage
Adventurers in Iron Works thus Endorsed

May it please Your Honours
This house having taken into Consideration the great Advantage
it would be to this Province to have the Liberty of importing Euro-
pean Salt directly from the Place of its Growth hither, and that his
Lordships Interest and Assistance in obtaining such Liberty would
contribute very much to the procuring thereof We propose that a
joynt Address of both Houses be prepared and transmitted to his
Lordship to request his Interest and Assistance in getting the
