By the lower house of Assembly 21 April 1736
May it please your Honours
This house hath resolved that the hours of sitting for Dispatch of
Business this Session be from Nine of the Clock until twelve in

April 21

the Morning and from Two of the Clock until six in the Afternoon
and desire to know if the time proposed be agreeable to Your
Honours

Read the Petition of Isaac Nicholls of Dorchester County pray-
ing Leave to bring in a Bill to cut off the Entail of a Tract of Land
called Andertons Point and to settle a Tract of Land of equal Value
called Richardsons Choice in Lieu thereof and recommended to the
Consideration of the Lower house of Assembly and sent by Col
Hammond
John Hall Esqr attended by the Members of this house present to
his Excellency the Governor the Address of this house which fol-
lows in these words

To his Excellency Samuel Ogle Esqr Governor and Commander
in Chief in & over the Province of Maryland
The humble Address of the Upper House of Assembly

May it please Your Excellency
We beg Leave to express Our sincere thanks for your Excellencys
kind Speech, and Our grateful Joy on the Receipt of his Lordships
most affectionate Answer to the late joint Address of both Houses :
As the subject Matter of that Address, so nearly affected the welfare
of this Province, as his Lordships Assurances are so full of a tender
Concern and just Inclinations for the Ease and Happiness of his
Tenants, We should make a very undeserved and ill Return to his
Lordships great Goodness, if we did not preserve a strict Regard
to his Lordships just Rights Honour and Government
